Welcome Karlie, USEFULL's Marketing Strategy intern

I’m Karlie Hayes, and I am beyond excited to join USEFULL for the summer as the Marketing Strategy Intern. 

Growing up in Southern California, I’ve always loved the hiking trails and beaches of my hometown, and I’ve harbored a general interest in protecting the environment. However, that interest grew into a passion my freshman year at UCLA, when I first saw tri-stream trash bins and posters detailing the environmental impacts of different types of protein. And at the beginning of the pandemic, I started to pay more attention to the news and to podcasts, realizing that the challenges facing our planet are more than I had previously realized.

Now, as a rising fourth-year Cognitive Science student at UCLA, I hope to build the skills for an environmental management career. I am especially excited to join USEFULL, a company which makes reducing waste more accessible and convenient for both partners and consumers. I can’t wait to work with the awesome team at USEFULL and help move companies, communities, and universities toward zero waste.
